Salary: Up to £42,000 per year (depending on experience) + overtime opportunities

The Role
We are seeking an Mechanical Engineer to provide a full engineering service to customers across the Water Industry. This is an exciting and diverse role, offering opportunities to build a long-term career in a growing engineering environment.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will carry out a broad range of planned and reactive Engineering work which may incorporate:-
Installation and removal of mechanical equipment across the water industry.
Disconnection and installation of motors.
Testing of electrical motors and cables.
Fault diagnosis and the removal and replacement of mechanical equipment including pumps, gearboxes, screens, filters, valves, bearings, alignments and fans.
Pipe fitting, Plumbing and metal work where required.
Slinging and lifting.
Confined Space and Working from Height.

Ideally, you will have:
A full, clean UK driving licence.
A strong work ethic.
Time served apprenticeship.

Founded by Colin Savage in 1955 MKE. Mid Kent Electrical Engineering began life repairing small electric motors for the surrounding area. The original workshop was opened in Detling and was ideally situated to serve the developing paper industry in the area.
