Salary: £29,000 – £34,000 per year (depending on experience) + overtime opportunities

The Role
We are seeking an Engineering Fitter to work on a wide variety of projects. This is an exciting and diverse role, offering opportunities to build a long-term career in a growing engineering environment.
As an Engineering Fitter, you will:
Work alongside experienced teams on mechanical engineering projects.
Support repairs, fitting, and installation across multiple sectors.
Learn new skills and develop through continuous training and career progression opportunities.

What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and levels of experience – training will be provided for the right candidate.
Ideally, you will have:
A full, clean UK driving licence.
Some industrial or engineering experience (desirable, but not essential).
A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
A hands-on approach and ability to work well as part of a team.

Founded by Colin Savage in 1955 MKE. Mid Kent Electrical Engineering began life repairing small electric motors for the surrounding area. The original workshop was opened in Detling and was ideally situated to serve the developing paper industry in the area. Seventy years on the company is owned and guided by the latest Savage family generation and in 2024 celebrated the most successful year in their history.
