Mid Kent Electrical Engineering Co (MKE) is the South East’s largest independent Electrical/Mechanical engineering company with 3 sites across Kent and Essex. Due to recent expansion and acquisition of a long-term contract with a major utility company, the company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Fitter to join the team at our head office in Sittingbourne.

The role will be diverse as MKE are a reactive business, however it will involve the repair of industrial equipment including: AC/DC motors, pumps, gearboxes and other rotating mechanical equipment. Experience working in the water utilities industry would be advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on such equipment through a qualification scheme, time served apprenticeship or similar.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working on industrial equipment, in particular AC/DC motors, all types of pumps, gearboxes and mechanical machinery and to have gained a time served apprenticeship or qualification scheme.
